PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) is seeking well-organized and detail-orientated candidates who share our passion for ending homelessness to join our South County Programs Department as a Program Associate. This position is based out of our location in North Long Beach (NLB) and provides administrative support for both that office and our West LA (WLA) location.

WHAT WE DO
Since its foundation in 1984, PATH has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. 
 
PATH is proud to operate a diverse array of programs throughout West Los Angeles and Southern Los Angeles County that provide a full range of supportive services to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. These include, but are not limited to, Interim Housing, Rapid Rehousing & Prevention, Outreach, and Housing Navigation.
 
WHAT IS A PROGRAM ASSOCIATE?
The Program Associate is responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative support to help ensure smooth operations for our NLB and WLA locations. Responsibilities of the Program Associate include:
  • Assisting with the onboarding and training coordination for new staff
  • Coordinating program communication
  • Providing administrative and clerical support
  • Assisting with research, preparation and written documentation for special projects, presentations, and meetings
  • Assisting with ordering supplies and coordination with vendors
  • Assisting with the organization of check requests, financial documents, and monthly balances
  • Providing support with event coordination and communications such as news letters
  • Coordination communication regarding building maintenance and administrative needs with management and operations
 
WHAT YOU BRING
We’re looking for candidates that:
  • Have experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced and professional environment.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Are highly organized and display excellent time management skills
  • Maintain and execute confidential information according to HIPAA and all other applicable standards
  • Possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals with urgent and multiple case management and health needs
  • Work just as well independently as they do on a team
  • Exercise mature judgement, and are highly motivated, self-starting and proactive
  • Are excellent at communicating, whether in writing or verbally
  • Have a strong sense of prioritization and can coordinate multiple demands in a high-pressure environment
 
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
For this role the Program Associate must:
  • Demonstrate proficiency with technology and software as a work tool, including a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Be able and willing to work flexible hours which may include evenings or weekends
  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
  • Have reliable transportation and:
    • A valid driver’s license
    • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
    • The ability to qualify for PATH insurance coverage
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
    • Tuberculosis Test
    • Background Screening
    • Drug Test

​COVID-19 VACCINATION
Effective 11/01/2021 PATH will require all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. All prospective hires will be expected to provide proof of vaccination as part of the pre-employment credentialing process.
